The Final, What did i do to deserve this?

I love Independent horror, for a few years it was the only place left that well-made horror films were being made. I found this Indie film a few Halloweens ago during the annual after dark horror fest DVD release where amateur filmmakers are giving a modest budget to bring their stories to life. This was one of those random movies I encountered on the now defunct chiller network at one o clock in the morning and I am glad I found it.

Revenge makes for a good story if done right it can give us a badass horror flick like this one. Basically The Final is Revenge of the Nerds if it were a horror movie. The story follows a group of young high school students who refer to themselves as the outcasts, planning their revenge against the kids who have bullied them and made them miserable for years. Most of us can relate to being bullied at one point or another, I myself was only bullied once till I punched my bully in the face during recess and that was the end of me being teased… The main characters of this film decide to kidnap their high school class during a big Halloween party and torture their tormenters while they make everyone else watch, to teach them a lesson and gain their revenge. I for one hate bullies so I felt little pity for the victims in this movie but man do these outcasts take it too far. It starts off with them just scaring their victims and tormenting them while wearing scary costumes but it escalates very quickly into bloody torture. Especially since we live in a world where we can’t seem to go one day without a mass shooting…
